REPORT OF WEDDING
On Wednesday afternoon, Miss Elsie Cowper, the youngest daughter of Mr. Sheriff Cowper, was married to Mr. A. C. Buchanan, at St. Andrew's Cathedral... The bridal party left Cockatoo [Island] — Mr. Cowper's residence —in a steam launch, and carriages met them at Circular Quay and drove them to the Cathedral... The marriage ceremony was performed by the Very Rev. the Dean of Sydney, the Bride's uncle. On its conclusion the party returned to Cockatoo, where the breakfast and reception took place... Towards the close of the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan left Cockatoo for Sydney, on a visit to the Blue Mountains.
