Billy Dean Patton, 82, of Benton Kentucky, and then from Bonfield, Illinois, where he lived with his daughter, passed away on February 13, 2023 at Riverside Medical Center Hospital in Kankakee, IL. Born on January 4, 1941.

Billy passed away peacefully after visits with his granddaughters at the hospital and with his daughter, Kimberly, by his side.

He was born in Hardin County, in the Sparks Hill area. Billy left Hardin County before marrying Sandra to find employment in Chicago where he lived with his sister, Shelba. After securing a job, he married Sandra of Hardin County and moved North. He worked at numerous factories after and farmed part time as well. Farming came naturally as he worked on the family farm as a young boy through adulthood.

He married the love of his life, Sandra, March 4,1967 and they were married almost 50 years. Together they enjoyed turkey hunting, fishing and traveling the 48 states together, including Hawaii for their 25th anniversary and bringing their daughter, Kimberly, along.

Billy was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and the First Baptist Church in Benton, Ky.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Jo (Patton) St. Germaine and her husband, Douglas; granddaughters, Mikaela Jo Basham, and Megan Juanell Basham; brother, Garcia Patton; sister, Ethna (Bill) Joyce and several nieces and nephews.
Billy is preceded by his wife, Sandra Jo (Simmons) Patton; brothers, Everett, Cecil, and Donnie; sisters, Monav, Corena, Shelba, and Margaret; and his parents, Ula and Lawrence Thurston Patton.

Services will be held Saturday, February,18, 2023 at Honeycomb Church of God at 2:00 p.m with interment to follow at Central Cemetery. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
