Jim was born on December 9, 1931 in Manitowoc to the late Joseph and Orpha (Siegworth) Wolff. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1950. Jim then entered the United States Army and served his country until his honorable discharge in 1952. On September 4, 1954, Jim married Carol Haupt in Manitowoc. Jim had worked as a sales rep for various companies for many years. Along with his wife, Jim and Carol also worked as property managers throughout eastern Wisconsin. He was the last surviving charter member of that Manitowoc Gun Club. Jim enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, golfing, camping, trap shooting, watching the Packers, but above all, spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include Jim's wife of 68 years, Carol; five children, Debra (Kent) Hollenbeck; Cheryl (Mike) Kennedy, Patricia (Lee) Kretsch, David (Lori) Wolff, and Sandra (Gary) Coles; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Orpha Wolff; and four siblings, Charles Wolff, William Wolff, Thomas Wolff, and Barbara Ahrens.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Pastor Nick Stanislowski officiating. Military rites will be accorded by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 731. A luncheon for family and friends will then follow at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with inurnment of Jim's cremated remains to be held at Knollwood Mausoleum.
