Andrew Thomas Kostra

Andrew Thomas Kostra, 71, of Fairlawn, died Dec. 15, 1992

Mr. Kostra was born in Akron and was a lifelong area resident. He served with the US Army during World War II in the 164th infantry and the 746 AAA Gun Battalion. He was also an M. & P. Mr. Kostra was a recipient of the Asia Pacific Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Stars, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with a Bronze Star, and the Good Conduct Ribbon. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and had been employed by the Guran Construction Co. as a truck driver, retiring in 1982.

Preceded in death by his parents Andy and Anna Kostra, sister Ameallia Kerbeck, and brother John Kostra. He is survived by his wife Gloria Jean; daughters Christine, Tammy, and Kim; sons Andy, John, Michael, Dean, and Larry; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service at 2 p.m. TODAY at the Dunn-Quigley-Ciriello & Carr Fairlawn Chapel, 39 S. Miller Rd., where friends may call TODAY from 12 noon until service time. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
