Pink Shinsel
January 2, 1936 - February 13, 2023

Axtell, Utah - Pink Shinsel, our loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Neighbor, and friend, was reunited with his loving sweetheart Beth Shinsel, in his home on February 13, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Pink was the "Salt of the Earth". There is nothing he loved more than his sweetheart, Beth who passed away in June of 2021.

Pink was born in Kemmerer, Wyoming on January 1, 1936, however since the doctor didn't make it until the next day, his birthday is recorded on January 2nd. He was born to Elmer Herman and Mary Elizabeth Pate Shinsel. Pink had 5 siblings, Jim, Ted, Bob, Bill, and Laurie.

PInk joined the Marines at 18 years old and faithfully served his country for two years.

When he met his sweetheart, he knew she was the one and married just a few months later on January 14, 1967. They were then sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 17, 1968. They had 3 children: Reta, Cidney and Tracy.

PInk lived in many places, but home was Axtell, Utah. Pink enjoyed the simple life on the farm and working in his shop. He enjoyed rides with his loved ones and he enjoyed the view that God gave him. He spent his life serving others. He was the jack of all trades. There wasn't anything he couldn't do. He built a beautiful foundation for his family. We will miss him dearly and carry on his Christlike spirit.

He is survived by his children: Reta (deceased) and Pancho Cejudo, Cid Shinsel, and Tracy Shinsel (Bryan Cromwell). Pink and Beth are loved by their 10 Grandchildren: Mikal (Jenrris Chavarria), Megan (Ruben Oropeza), Morgan (Josue Gonzalez), Tristan, Brendan, Jasmine, Cole, Gilbert, Levi, and Jaiden. He was adored by his 2 Great Grandchildren, Hailey, his Hailey bug and Ezekiel, his little man.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 18, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the Axtell LDS ward Chapel, where friends and family are welcome to join the viewing from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services on Saturday.

Burial will be in the Axtell Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
