Leo Clark Gobel, 60, passed away July 15, 2014 in Williams, CA. Leo was born on March 7, 1954 in Colusa to Lorin and Leah Rae Gobel. He was the oldest of 3 boys.
Leo worked many years in the farming industry and most recently found joy working side by side with his son, Jonathan. Leo loved to hunt, BBQ and play pranks on his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and always loved making people laugh. Leo enjoyed participating in Boy Scouts with his son, Nolan. Leo was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather and cherished friend.
Leo is survived by his wife, Mary Agnes; his three children; Jonathan Gobel and his wife Kirsten; Jennifer Richter and her husband Joe; and Nolan Gobel. Leo is also survived by his mother, Leah Rae Gobel, his brother, Tim Gobel and his 3 grandchildren, Lauren, Braden, and Grayson Richter. He was preceded in death by his father, Lorin Gobel and brother Don Gobel.
A celebration of Leo's life will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Festival Hall, Colusa County Fairgrounds, 1303 10th Street (Hwy 20), Colusa, CA 95932.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Leo Gobel Campership Fund, payable to BSA Troop 389 and mailed to R.W.M. 463 Century Park Drive, Yuba City, CA 95991 or Hope Point Student Ministries, 600 N. George Washington Blvd. Yuba City, CA 95993.
