Mrs. Laster died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 1, 1917, in Winchester, the daughter of George and Alice McDermond Everett.
She was a homemaker and worked as a clerk at Phi's Market in McLouth for about 10 years before retiring. She was a member of the McLouth Baptist Church and the McLouth Eastern Star.
She moved from McLouth to Wellsville in 1985 and had lived in Ottawa since 1995.
She married Alvin Jess Laster. He died in 1982.
Survivors include a son, George Laster, Ottawa; two sisters, Dorothy Bell, Denver, and Marge Hunsucker, Houston; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Joann Wright, a grandson and a great-grandson died earlier.
