Mr. Coad was born Nov. 25, 1927, in Rose Hill to George and Elva Brunner Coad. He is greatly missed by his beloved wife of 51 years, Gerry Bonovitz. He is survived by his six children, Marie Coad, Gerri (John) Klepeisz, Jeanine (Ralph) Washburn. Chris (Amy) Coad, all of Yorktown, Va.; Roger Coad, Champaign; and Randy (Cheryl) Coad, Rantoul. He dearly loved his nine grandchildren, Matthew, David, Mark, Lauren, Sarah, Tyler, Casey, Matt and Brandy; and his great-granddaughter, Nevaeh. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Coad, Newton, and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Leon.
Dale was born and raised in Rose Hill. After a brief stint in the U.S. Army, he moved to Chicago where he met and married his wife, Gerry. Together they lovingly raised six children. They resided for 36 years in Mahomet. Dale was retired from the University of Illinois.
Dale enjoyed traveling with his wife, fishing, boating, gardening and doing crossword puzzles. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
