Lucien Robbins

Lucien "Buck" Robbins died July 20 at the California Veterans Home in Yountville after a lengthy illness. He was 83. A former Vallejo resident, Robbins was born Aug. 24, 1917 in Lowell, Mass. He resided in San Diego and Albuquerque, New Mexico before serving in the U.S. Navy in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre during World War II. He settled in Vallejo and served as the business agent of Teamsters Union Local #490 and also worked for Pacific Motor Trucking. Robbins is survived by wife, Ruth Marcacci of Vacaville, sons Ronald of Green Valley and Richard of Vallejo, brother Robert of San Diego, and sisters Dorothy Gervais of San Diego and Evelyn Ferguson of Grass Valley. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary. Private funeral services will be held at Sunrise Cemetery in Vallejo. Arrangements have been cared for by Treadway & Wigger Funeral Chapel. Contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 1900 Powell St. Suite 285, Emeryville, Calif., 94608 have been encouraged by the family.
