Marie Groll was born in Germany and immigrated to the United States where she married her husband, Dr. Franz Fullner. They had four children. Dr. Fullner briefly served as physician to the Methodist Orphanage where he lived with Marie and the surviving two children, Mary and Fritz/Fred along with clergyman, teacher, matron etc. Later he is mentioned in 1893 newspaper accounts as having invented an alternative to electricity. He sold stock for his company. The flat was draped with wires criss crossing the ceiling and many glass jars etc as would behoove an inventor. After his death his wife and son eventually settled in Missoula where son Fred Fullner became successful neighborhood grocer. have not been able to find any personal facts about her life but her pallbearers were listed which might give a clue. it seemed a shame to have her leave her native land and not have a story here.
