June 9, 1926 ~ February 17, 2023 (age 96)

Walter H. "Bronco" Emrich Jr., age 96, of Kennedy Twp., died on Friday, February 17, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Lyda Springer; loving father of Margaret Mary (Dean) Mariani, Michelle Emrich-Seibel, Walter H. (Laura) Emrich, III, Faith Theresa Ashraf and the late Christine Josephine Hurley. Also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Walt was a proud U. S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during WWII and the Korean War, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. He was also an electrician for the P & LE Railroad. Walt was also the floor manager at Neville Roller Drome for many years and went by the name of "Sarge".He was member of the U. S. Marine Corps Veterans, Inc., and also the Mon Valley Leathernecks Marine Corps League and an at large member of the VFW And the American Legion, participating in the Funeral Honors groups. In his past time, he enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching old western movies. Friends received on Sunday from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 pm at R. D. Copeland, Ltd., 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Caring and Sharing, 5727 Saltsburg Rd, Verona, PA 15147 or the Toys for Tots at https://www.toysfortots.org/donate/forms/simple/Default.aspx.
