Todd Eric Waller, 52, passed on from this life on July 12, 2022 with his wife and parents by his side.

Born in Trinity, TX, Todd moved to Orange with his parents in 1977. Todd graduated from both LCM High in 1988 and Lamar University in 1993 cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

Post-graduation, Todd's sense of adventure led him to South Africa for a 6 month stay where he served as a ranch hand and discovered his love of building. This new found passion led him to start his next chapter in North Carolina where he became a licensed General Contractor. Over the next 20 years, Todd would build more than 100 custom homes in and around the Chapel Hill area and formed his own company in 2007.

It was in North Carolina Todd met his best friend and love of his life, Andrea. Marrying a North Carolinian meant almost certainly that NC would be Todd's forever home, but God had different plans. Dissolving his company and uprooting, Todd and Andrea moved to Houston in 2014, where they started a new chapter closer to family. Together they built eighteen years of extraordinary memories.

Those who were close to Todd were in awe of his insatiable thirst for knowledge, inquisitive mind to know about this world and beyond and his desire and ability to cultivate deep and meaningful connections with others. Todd's subtle and quick wit kept us on our toes, but most memorably, he had an imaginative and boundless type of wonder that inspired us to interact with the world in a different way.

Todd believed people were capable of incredible change and his life proved to be a journey of continuous growth. He challenged us to think critically and openly for ourselves, dream big, find meaning in synchronicity, create often, commit to action and explore possibilities. The void he leaves is vast in our hearts, but his mark on those around him is lasting as we are forever changed for the better to have known and loved him.
Todd was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Tracy Waller; grandparents, Almeda and Raymond Kirby and Flora Mae and Ben DeLaFosse.

Todd is survived by his loving wife, Andrea; his beloved parents, Peggy and Pierre DeLaFosse; brother, Terry Waller; sister, Pamela Waller; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kate and Robert Knox; nieces and nephew, Anna Leah Fabre, Traci Ingersoll and Carrie and Harry Waller; and his beloved pets Raleigh and Huxley.
