Born July 3, 1926, on the family farm in rural Bridgeton, he was the oldest child of Marjorie Jessup and Max Evans Case. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 74 years, Blanche Hartman Case, whom he married on March 22, 1947
Seba was a 1944 graduate of Bridgeton High School. He entered the Army on November 25, 1944. during his three years of active duty he earned a Bronze Battle Star - European Theater and Army of Occupation Medal – Germany. He received an honorable discharge on July 30, 1946. Upon return home, he took up work on the family farm. He served as a member and officer of various farm and community organizations such as Farm Bureau, N.F.O., P.C.I. and the B.C.B.A., and worked hard to help promote Bridgeton and the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival. Seba was also a proud member of the S.A.R.
He was a member and deacon of Friendly Grove Baptist Church. Just, kind and generous, Seba and his wife helped and encouraged many people in their lifetimes, including their grateful children who miss them very much.
He is survived by his children: Celia Case (Dave Gammon), Max (Betsi) Case, and Susan (Kevin) Carr; four grandchildren: Cora (Travis) Maloney, James Levi (Kimberly) Herzog, Richard "K.C." (Samantha) Carr, and Seba Zachariah "Zach" Carr; and by six great-grandchildren, and many beloved neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother George Case and his sister Cora Colleen Case Roberts.
Services will be held Tuesday, February 28, at Friendly Grove Baptist Church with visitation at 12:00 noon and services at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place on the family plot at Clear Run Cemetery in Bridgeton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Friendly Grove Church at 8576 S 75 W, Rosedale, IN 47874, or to the Bridgeton Covered Bridge Association at P.O. Box 1868, Bridgeton, IN 47836.
