Betty Jane Meyer, age 89, of Two Rivers passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Frontida Assisted Living, Manitowoc. Betty was born December 23, 1933 in the Town of Two Creeks, daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanore (Daul) Glaser.

She was a graduate of Washington High School with the Class of 1951. On November 9, 1957 she was united in marriage to Henry "Hank" Meyer at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2019.

Betty was a RN, graduating from Holy Family School of Nursing in 1954. She worked for University Hospital, Madison, Holy Family Memorial Hospital and lastly worked for Dr. Mark Herring's office before her retirement. She was a Volunteer for hospice with Holy Family Memorial Hospital and as a volunteer for St. Peter the Fisherman in many different areas. Mary appreciated and really enjoyed working all of them. She was a former member of Holy Innocent Catholic Church. Betty enjoyed reading, volunteer activities, book club, keeping close to her many friends (who were like sisters to her) from nursing school. She enjoyed family, friends and especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Peggy (Jack) Knoblauch, Manitowoc; Mary (Greg) Coenen, Two Rivers; Debra (David) Caldwell, Burlington; Randal (Brenda) Meyer, Manitowoc; nine grandchildren: Shannon, Kristi, Becky, Brittany, Bradley, Melissa, Christopher, Corey and Kellen; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters: Rosie LeClair and Jeanne Messman; 2 brothers: Gerald (Barbara) Glaser, and Robert (Joan) Glaser; sister in-laws Nancy Glaser, Shirley Glaser, Marion Glaser and Marlene Glaser and Brother in-law Ken (Mary) Meyer as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Eleanore Glaser, her husband Henry "Hank" Meyer; sisters and brothers-in-law: Gladys & Leonard Mastroni, Jack Messman, Eugene LeClair; and brothers Harvey & Mildred Glaser, LeRoy Glaser, clarence and Beverly Glaser Joseph Glaser, Jr., Edward Glaser, Alan Glaser, and Larry Glaser

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial of her remains to take place at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth, at a later date. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting www.lakeshorefamilyfuneralhomes.com The Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Klein & Stangel location, assisted the Meyer family with arrangements.
