Ruth Ann Tarter, 79, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on February 28, 2023 at Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 13, 1943 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, daughter of the late Wayfield DeVary and Susie Mae (Satterly) DeVary.
Ruth was a retired cafeteria manager of Greater Clark Schools and was a dedicated worker. She enjoyed camping, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and loved her dogs, Coco, Daisy, and Tiny.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Tarter; two brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Tarter; son, Robert Tarter(Rhonda); sister, Tina Ford; brother, Ronnie DeVary(Brenda); two grandchildren, Justin(Brittney) and Anna Tarter; two great grandchildren, Bentlee and Aribella along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a visitation held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 4-8pm. Service will be on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 2pm with more visitation from 12:30- 2pm. Burial will follow at Charlestown Cemetery.
