Catherine I. Bashore, 82, of 1063 Parkway Drive, Greenville, and formerly of Versailles, passed away early the morning of Nov. 30, 2003, at Heartland of Greenville. She was born April 12, 1921, in Darke County, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Bulcher) Grillot. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Bashore, in 1993; a brother, Vitalus Grillot; and two sisters, Ethel Treon and Agnes Monnin. Mrs. Bashore had worked at Weaver Brothers Eggs in Versailles and had aided the elderly. She was also an avid card player. She is survived by two sons, Randall Bashore of Greenville and Duane Bashore of West Carrollton; a daughter, Constance Bashore of Greenville; four sisters, Velma Billiter of Versailles, Margaret Baker of Troy, Lucille Barton of Greenville and Florence Hemmelgam of Burkettsville; a brother, Lloyd Grillot of Phoenix, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oliver Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Eric Fee officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, near Covington. Friends may call from I p.m. until time of services' Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice.
