Mildred Antal, 82, a guest at Taylor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Taylor, for the past 4 and a half years, formerly of Duryea, passed away Saturday at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.
Born in Duryea, she was a daughter of the late Hayden and Josephine (Leshney) Reese. She was a graduate of Duryea High School and was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Duryea.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve, who passed away in June 1981, and brother William Reese.
Surviving are daughter Karen Antal, Duryea; son Stephen Antal and his wife, Mary Ellen, Trumbull, CT; grandson Michael Antal, Trumbull, CT; sister Doris Galuska, Duryea; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main St., Duryea, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Duryea.
Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rev. John M. Rogan, Jr., Ministry, a visitation ministry to nursing homes and hospitals, 318 Church St., Jessup, PA 18434.
