• SULPHUR -- Services for Lula Myrtle Patterson, 101, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Clagg Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Huckaby and Chester Sliger officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Born Dec. 24, 1899, at St. Louis, Okla., to Marcus Newton and Mary Elizabeth Cates Caudle, she died Aug. 17, 2001, at Sulphur. She married Albert T. Patterson on Nov. 10, 1921, at Maud. He preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1962. She was also preceded in death by a son, Norman Albert Patterson.

Mrs. Patterson was a homemaker. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church. She had lived in the area since 1964.

Survivors include two daughters: Mary Lou Patterson, Keneedale, Texas, and LaVerne Ruth Hollis, Sulphur; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
