Kenneth L. Couch, age 74, of Grove, formerly of Joplin, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Landmark Hospital in Joplin. "Kenny", son of the late Gordon and Evelyn (Mayo) Couch, was born on August 2, 1948, in Joplin. He attended Memorial High School. While in high school, Kenny began working at Meekers Leather Company. Soon after graduating high school, he was drafted into the United States Navy where he honorably served his country. After returning from the Navy, Kenny also returned to Meekers until their closing. From there he began a career in sales and opened Ken Couch Motors in Joplin which he operated until his retirement. Survivors include his children, Camille "Camie" Schultz, and her husband, Jeff, of Webb City, and Farrah Howard, St. Louis; grandchildren, Nathan Schultz, and his wife, Kelsey, of Joplin, Jacob Schultz, of Webb City, and Andrew Knapp, of St. Louis; siblings, Gail Smallwood, and her husband, Jerry, of Joplin, Carol "Joanie" Carlton, and her husband, Dwain, of Carthage, and Ken Reed, and his wife, Cindy, of Salem, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia "Pat" Koelzer, and one brother, Willard "Bud" Couch. Graveside committal of ashes with full Military Honors will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
