Marco Walter Barkhimer was born on November 12, 1961, in Camden, Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Army after high school. Marco spent many years as a welder, then finished his career working for Hall Manufacturing in North Little Rock, Arkansas. While living in Portland, Oregon, he met his wife of 24 years, Rebecca, who he called "Sweetsie."

Marco is preceded in death by his son Joshua, his brother, Kenny, and his father, Walter Clifton "Pee Wee" Barkhimer.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; two biological children, Lequita and Anthony; five grandchildren, Kohlson, Forest, Julian, Gavin, and Aurora; two chosen children, Jesse Hanson and Shawnelle Deitsch; mother, Jeanette Jackson; brother, Donnie; and three fur-babies, Samantha, Jacob, and JoJo.


A visitation and funeral will be held for Marco at Park Hill Christian Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas on Friday, March 3, at 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. respectively. Marco receive military honors at a graveside service on Tuesday, March 7, at 10:00 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
