Professional Golfer. In 1935 he was runner-up in the U.S. Open at the Oakmont Country Club. In 1936 while representing Shawnee he won the Richmond Open, finished second in the Western Open, and was runner-up in the PGA Championship losing to Denny Shute in the finals. He also won the 1938 Los Angeles Open and finished second on the PGA Tour 16 times during his career.
