Jamie Lee Smith Burns, 56, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
She was born on April 14, 1966 to the late Ned Smith and Faye Turner Smith in Catawba County.
Jamie could best be described as loving. She loved everyone she came in contact with, and would help anyone with anything. She loved to scrapbook, spend time with her family, and play with her dogs. She was a dedicated mother and wife, and had a heart of gold. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Jamie has a lasting impression of love and belonging. She was the best mother and friend to all of us.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jeanie Lorea and Jackie Vinay.
Survivors include her husband, Tripp Burns of the home; son, Ben Burns and wife Alexis; daughters, Haley Burns, Anna Burns; grandson, Parker Burns; sister, Sherry Warlick and husband Terry; and brother, Randy Smith and wife Hattie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. The family will gather with friends following the service.
