Mr. Turner was born October 8, 1945 in Jones County, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Wade Turner and Nell Moore Turner. He received his education in the Ruleville, Mississippi Public School System and was a graduate of Delta State University in Cleveland with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
Mr. Turner was a former resident of Oxford, Mississippi before moving to the Gallaway Community eight months ago. He was the owner and operator of Walton & Pentecost Insurance Company in Ruleville, Mississippi for 35 years before his retirement seven years ago. He was a member of the Maples Memorial United Methodist Church in Olive Branch and enjoyed cooking and outdoor activities that included hunting, fishing and carpentry.
Mr. Turner is survived by his son, William Wade Turner, III of Southaven, MS; his sister, Matilda Whatley of Brandon, MS; and four grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
