David Michael Bardsley, 67, of Friendsville, MD, died Thursday, January 6, 2022, at his residence.
Born September 8, 1954, in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Rodney & Margaret (Lombardi) Bardsley.
After graduation from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy, complete duty and then became a park ranger in Glacier National Park, Montana for several years. He then returned to Garrett County and attended Garrett College and West Virginia University, where he received a bachelor's degree in geography. David was employed by Garrett County Soil Conversation and left there to join Farm Credit. From there he was employed in Ocean City with the administration in Parks and Recreation. After retirement, he returned to Garrett County and worked for the Chamber of Commerce and then Working H Farms before relaxing. David eventually retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of military service.
Surviving is his wife, Joanne (Hochrein) Bardsley; one sister, Debra Bardsley, Baltimore, MD.
A Celebration of Life will be held Ace's Restuarant, 20160 Garrett Highway, Oakland, MD; on Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 2-4 pm.
Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Avenue, Friendsville, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
