Mrs. Brown was born March 19, 1949 to Charles Larue and Capitola June (Landers) Walker in Taylorville, IL. She was a graduate of Taylorville High School and was a homemaker. She went on to become the assistant manager at Casey's General Store in Witt. She and Ronald Joe Brown were married December 20,1965 in Taylorville and he survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Joseph (Danielle) Brown of Herrin, Lorree Brown of Nokomis, Kelli (Richard) Crow of Coalton, and Kimberly Brown of Witt; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Terry Walker of Taylorville and Kay Green of Nokomis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Dorsey; and brother, John Walker.
Graveside services for Monica Lynn Brown will be held Wednesday, Mar. 15, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Ramsey with Reverend Steve Wright officiating.
