A war veteran, Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Army, and was honorably discharged earning the rank of staff sergeant.
Mr. Brown was united in holy matrimony to Ella Louise Turner in October of 1947, and to this union six children were born.
He had been a principal at five elementary schools and retired as co-principal of the Baylor Woodson Elementary Complex in Inkster, MI.
Mr. Brown is survived by his devoted wife, Ella; children, Tennyson Sr., Constance, Daniel Jr., Edward, LaDonna and GerDina; sisters, Pearl E., Johnie Pearl, Elmore and Thelma; brothers, St. Elmo Ballard Jr. and DeVan; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Final services were held on December 14, 2007 at Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church with Pastor Randolph Thomas Sr. officiating. Arrangements were handled by Stinson Funeral Homes.
