Professional Football Player. Victor Reuter played football Battin High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey before playing college football at Lafayette. A center, he was named an acting captain in 1931 and was a candidate for the All-American team that season. In September of 1932, Reuter was signed by the Staten Island Stapletons of the National Football League, where he appeared in two games. He also played for the Paterson Night Hawks that season. In 1933, Reuter joined the Clifton Wessingtons and remained with the team in 1934. He played for the Danbury Trojans in 1935. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. Outside of sports, he was the head of the Parking Authority of East Orange and parking commissioner of Summit, New Jersey and was a member of the East Orange City Council from 1958 to 1971, serving as chairman in 1967.
