Alfred "Jinx" George Janczewski, age 92, of 102 Lovefield Street, Easthampton was called to his eternal resting place on Saturday, March 11, 2023. He was the son of the late Joseph and Blanche (Dudzynskas) Janczewski. He attended local elementary schools and attended St. Michael's returning to Easthampton High School, graduating from there and continued his education at Northampton Commercial College, graduating with an accounting degree. Shortly after completing his enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served his country proudly, during the Korean War form 1952-1954.

He was the Vice President of Productions at the former Howmet Wire Company that was located in the Baystate section of Northampton for over twenty years and then worked for thirty-three years as a sales associate for Big Y also in Northampton. He was a kind, gentle and understanding man and was liked by everyone.
Alfred enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing, traveling and spending quality time with his only grandson. He was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and loved polka. He was a long-time communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, now Our Lady of the Valley Parish. He was a member of the Dalton Lavallee American Legion Post #224, Easthampton.
