FUNERAL OF
ALFRED E. MUDGE

The funeral of Alfred Eugene Mudge, formerly first assistant corporation counsel in Brooklyn, who died on Tuesday at his home, 15 Crooke avenue, Flatbush, of typhoid fever, after a brief illness, took place this afternoon.

The services were held at 2 o'clock at his late residence, and were conducted by the Rev. G. L. Hunt, pastor of the First Baptist Church, at Alexandria, Va., who was formerly pastor of the deceased, assisted by the Rev. Dr. S. Giffard Nelson, pastor of the Baptist Church of the Redeemer of Flatbush.

"Lead, Kindly Light," a favorite hymn of Mr. Mudge, was sung by a lady friend of the family. Many lawyers, .politicians and business men were present. There were delegates from Ridgewood Council, Royal Arcanum, of which the deceased was a member; also representstlves from the Lincoln Club, of which he was one of the founders, and from U. S. Grant Post, G. A. R., of which Mr. Mudge was a honorary member.

The interment was in the family plot at Evergreen Cemetery. The pallbearers were, Col. Albert E. Lamb, Daniel P, Morse, H. B. Hubbard, Millard F. Smith, George W. McKenzie, Alvan R. Johnson, John A. Taylor and Joseph A. Burr.

There were many beautiful floral tributes.
