Darrell Brown died Sunday, February 24, 2008 at North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley, CO, due to chronic kidney disease.
Darrell Duane Brown was born in Salina, Kansas to Eddie Franklin and Margaret Louise (Walters) Brown. He grew up in Salina, Kansas where he attended school. Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
On November 11, 1972 he married Erma Koehn in Whitewater, Kansas. He was employed as a chef for a resort ranch near Kersey, CO. His passion was cooking and he also enjoyed carpentry, fishing, hunting, camping and canoeing.
Survivors: Wife, Erma Brown of Greeley; sons, Danny Brown of Greeley, Troy Wright Sr. and wife Theresa of Corpus Christi, TX; daughters, Lisa Wright and Margaret Brown both of Crosby, TX; grandchildren, Jackie and Brandon of Kansas, Sheridan, Joshua, Justin and Troy Jr. all of Texas; one great-grandson; brother, Eddie Lee Brown and wife Sandy of Lindsborg, KS; sister, Joyce Pickard and husband Robert of Longmont.
Preceded in death by: His parents.
Visitation: Friends may visit from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 29, 2008 at Adamson West Chapel.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Adamson West Chapel with Military Honors by VFW Pioneer Post 2121 at the graveside service.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley, Colorado.
A reception will be held at the Adamson Reception Center following the graveside service.
