Barbara Jean Casey Heflin, 64, of Straight Mountain, AL., passed away on March 10, 2023. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted follower of Christ. She is preceded in death by father James Marvin Casey; sister-in-laws Donna and Debra Casey; beloved pet Zuko. She leaves behind husband Van Heflin; mother Clara Bell Casey; daughter Tracy Heflin; son Jesse Heflin (Rachel); grandchildren Emma Grace, Ally May, Chance, Willow, and Atticus; sister Rose Battles (Steven); brothers Larry and Dale Casey (Jenna).
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Lemley Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. Glenn Bynum and Bro. Greg Bledsoe presiding. Burial to follow in Fairvew Baptist Church Cemetery located in Etowah County.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the college fund for Emma Grace Kindsfater. Account to be set up.
