Audrey Ann Dunnington, age 78, of Pekin, Ill., died at 6:57 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, at her home.

Audrey was born Oct. 7, 1928 in Manitowoc to Romulus and Inez Thayer Nicholson. She married Robert C. Dunnington on Nov. 4, 1950 in Lacon, Ill. He died Jan. 30, 1982 in Pekin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; foster parents: Michael (Alma) Handl; four brothers; and one sister. Surviving are four daughters: Tanis (Ron) Marquardt of Lena; Janice Dunnington of Las Vegas, Nev.; Debbie (Steve) McKimson of Glasford, Ill.; and Vicki (Dan) Scott of Pekin; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She had worked for 30 years as a waitress at Andy's Restaurant in Pekin, retiring in 1982. Audrey enjoyed sunbathing, working jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, and helping her grandkids deliver newspapers. She was an avid sports fan, especially of the Chicago Bears. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin.

Cremation will be accorded. There will be no visitation or services.
