Obituary - Mobley-Dodson Funeral Home
Daughter of Louis Martin and Flossie (Thompson) Martin; preceded in death by her parents Louis and Flossie Martin; 1st husband Leonard Burgess; 2nd husband Edward Brown; brother Lloyd Martin; and sisters Nellie, Louise, Betty Lou, and Marie.
Born to Louis Martin and Flossie (Thompson) Martin. She graduated from high school and attended Business College. Dorotha was a Member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Gold Star Wives. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, cooking, dancing, and cleaning her house. Dorotha was an avid Bible reader and kept it handy throughout her home where she could read it and make notes in it. She loved being with her family and cooking for them. Dorotha was of the Methodist Faith. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Dorotha was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Flossie Martin; 1st husband Leonard Burgess; 2nd husband Edward Brown; brother Lloyd Martin; and sisters Nellie, Louise, Betty Lou, and Marie.

She is survived by her son Freddie Burgess and wife Mary Helen; grandchildren Robin Worth, Tammy Burgess, Alfred Burgess, and Carla Galain; 5 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services for Dorotha will be Friday, February 8, 2008, at 10:00 A.M. in the Woodland Memorial Park in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Rev. Fred Waldrep will officiate. Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma is handling the arrangements.
