Edmund J. Gordon Edmund J. Gordon, 80, 115 32nd St., died Wednesday in a Sioux City hospital of a sudden illness. A memorial mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Monsignor Richard V. Sweeney officiating. The body will be cremated and private burial services will be at Calvary Cemetery. There will be no visitation and Larkin Northside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Gordon was born March 2, 1907, in Sioux City. A lifelong resident of Sioux City, he was graduated from Trinity High School. He married Frances S. Rutten Nov. 25, 1939, in Sioux City. He worked as a salesman and store manager for United Wholesalers for 43 years, retiring in 1972. Mr. Gordon was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the Lions Club. He served in the Army Medical Corps during World War II. Survivors include his wife, and one sister, Mrs. Leone Olsen of Issaquah, Wash.
