COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Jay Dean Johnston, 40, plumber, died Sunday (Oct. 3, 1999) at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was the brother of Jerry Johnston and Janet Cagle, both of Newton.
He was born June 6, 1959, in Lindsborg to Theodore Arnold and Romeyn (Palmquist) Johnston.
He moved from Newton in 1994 to Colorado Springs. He served in the National Guard from 1985 to 1991.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one stepbrother, Tom E. Woolfolk.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hays Funeral Home Chapel in Lindsborg with the Rev. Charles Humphrey officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Lindsborg.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday with family greeting friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
