She had an incredible career as a head cook in many restaurants including her start at Lakeside Supper Club in Suring, then many restaurants in the Phoenix area, including Baxters, Ribsters, and Black Angus. She studied at the Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix early in her career. She was an excellent baker, especially her huge pies.
She was an intense Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks fan, even though she lived in Phoenix. It was known to not call her during any of these games, she would not answer or tell you to call later.
She lit up a room by walking into it, was a fun, generous, caring and kind woman that helped anyone in need, usually by cooking them meals or helping a homeless man, allowing him to sleep in her lounge chair on her porch; leaving blankets for him and a cup of coffee every morning and they would often talk. With a listening ear, she had wise advice when it was asked for. She believed everything happens for a reason and God knows what we need.
A strong faith in God, she had a huge list of people that she prayed for, valued her family secondly and was proud of both of her daughters and her four grandsons as she lit up when talking about them.
Survivors include two daughters: Kelly (Rich) Comins and Kate Summers;
four grandsons;
five sisters: Phyllis (Robert) Phillps of Kentucky; Judy (Harold) Hobbs, Sherry (Randy) Linnsen of Oconto Falls, WI; Doris (Lloyd) Saffran of Oconto, WI and Helen (Kenneth) Piso of Breed, WI;
many nieces and nephews, especially special niece, Myra Buteau.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Andy;
