MARY ANN HARMON
Mrs. Mary Ann Harmon, 87, died at 11:30 a.m. yesterday at the home of her son, W. M. Harmon, near Bluff City, with whom she had made her home for a number of years. She had been an invalid for two and a half years and critically ill for the last two weeks.
Mrs. Harmon was born in Watauga county, N.C., in 1849, and had been a resident of Sullivan county for the last 33 years. She was the widow of the late Wiley A., Harmon, who died several years ago.
Surviving are five children, W. M. Harmon, of Bluff City, Ray Harmon, Lyman, Neb., Malden Harmon, Billings, Mont., Mrs. Minnie E. Tester, Bluff City, and Mrs. Dora Moore, Sugar Grove, N.C.; one brother, Solomon Trivett, of Sugar Grove, N.C., and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in the Chinquapin Grove Baptist church, of which she was a member. The Rev. S. O. Pinkerton and the Rev. G. C. Coldiron will be officiating ministers. Interment will follow in the Chinquapin Grove cemetery.
Pallbearers: M. L. Hodge, F. M. Green, R. A. Green, Sam Millhorn, Andy Little, Maynard Lyon.
Flower bearers: Mrs. E. C. Glover, Mrs. M. L. Hodge, Mrs. Mary Green, Mrs. Belle Green, Mrs. George Little, Mrs. Fay Little, Mrs. Bessie Tate, Mrs. Janice Mottern.
