Abilene - Udil T. Aldrete, 61, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008, to be with the Lord in Heaven.
Udil was born on July 3, 1946, in San Angelo, Texas to Albert and Olivia Aldrete. He was a retired truck driver of 25+ years. He married Lydia Baeza of Pecos in 1967, and made their home in Abilene, Texas. He was a member of the South 11th and Willis Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert Aldrete, Jr. and Antonio Aldrete; his mother, Olivia Aldrete; his sister, Gloria Dearman; and his son, Johnny Aldrete.
Udil was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Lydia; his father, Albert Sr. of McKinney; sister, Sonja Juarez of Merkel; and brothers, Moses and Ramiro of McKinney. He is also survived by his children, Becky Rivera and husband, Tony, of Weatherford; Gabe Aldrete and wife, Cindy, of Abilene; and Cindy Garza and husband, Sam, of Eagle Pass as well as by seven grandsons: Daniel, Christopher, Caleb, Jacob, Zach, John, and Jason.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008, at South 11th and Willis Church of Christ, Abilene, TX at 10 a.m. Burial will follow immediately in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories. A wake service will be held on Friday, March 7, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South at 7 p.m.
