Kathleen M Griswold of Harwich passed away peacefully on March 30th.
Kathy is the daughter of the late Patrick J and Rosemary Moloney, Paul McGilvray (stepfather). She was born in Dorchester April 11, 1954. Kathy was the beloved wife of William (Bill) and loving mother to Matthew (Liz), Jeremy (Laura), and Brian (Kelly). She was the loving grandmother to six grandchildren, Avery, Camryn, Jackson, Jeremy, William and Zachary.
Kathy graduated in 1972 from Harwich High School. Her nursing career began after receiving her RN certification from Fall River School of Nursing in 1975. She worked at numerous healthcare facilities including 27 years at Cape Cod Hospital and most recently at Windsor Skilled Nursing Facility. She enjoyed taking family trips to Disney World. Kathy was fiercely devoted to "her three boys" and being Nana to her grandchildren. She always tried to spoil them by making sure the living room was full of presents on Christmas.
Kathy is survived by her sisters Jean (Jack) Marino of PA, and Joan (Dennis) Barrett of Orleans. Kathy was predeceased by her brothers James P (and his surviving wife Jean), John J (and his surviving wife Marie), Michael X, and her sister Rosemary D Ortman (Victor). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews to whom she loved dearly.
A wake will be held Tuesday, April 4 from 4-8 pm at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, Blute Chapel, 678 Main St. Harwich Center. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 5th at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Church in West Harwich. Interment will follow at Island Pond Cemetery.
