Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the age of 79.
Beloved husband of the late Marie Greenwald (nee Breuhan); dear father of Dawn (Tom) Jakuboski, Tracey (Tom) Dorenbusch and Kelly Baldesi; adored grandfather of Corey (Heather) Jakuboski, Brittni Jakuboski, Zachary (Amanda) Jakuboski, Chelsie (Cody) Shilharvey, Logan (Alix) Jakuboski & Meghan Jakuboski; Lydia Dorenbusch & Madelyn Dorenbusch; loving great-grandfather of Gabriel, Heidi & Lindsey Jakuboski; preceded in death by his parents, the late Walter Frank Greenwald and the late Dorothy Lee Greenwald (nee Boarman); and his siblings, the late Walter (late Alice) Greenwald, the late Bobby Greenwald, the late Mary (late Ronald) Johnson, the late Carol (Donald) Shipp and the late Diane (Ben) Aguinaldo; uncle and friend to many.

Don was a machinist for over 40 years, working at Brannekers, Coin Acceptors, Inc. and Wilco Tool & Die. He also taught night school machine shop classes at O'Fallon Technical School for several years.

He enjoyed summers most, riding bikes and roller coasters, playing sports, cards and release tag with all the neighborhood kids.
