A dedicated public servant, Kim joined the Illinois State Police February 18, 1983, graduating with Academy Class 83. He served as a trooper with District 4 (Crestwood). He retired at the rank of sergeant December 31, 2000.
Kim will be remembered as an avid Chicago sports fan, a fierce protector of family and his penchant for telling jokes.
He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Diana; daughters: Kristina, Emily (Marvin), Diana (Eric), and Samantha; grandchildren, Lily and Max; along with his siblings: Steven (Adele), Roseanne (Mario), Pamela (Donald), Dominic (Nancy), Ronald (Hope), Anthony, Roxanne (Pete), Louie, and Cristina (Noel).
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
