David Barruw of Danvers formally of Malden, entered into rest on July 23, 2021, at the age of 82, at The Kaplan House, surrounded by all of his girls.
Husband of the late Phyllis (Tenovsky) Barruw.
Born in Everett, and later moved to Medford, where he graduated from Medford High School.
The loving son of (the late) Arnold Barruw and Molly (Smith) Barruw, both which immigrated from Russia in the early 1900's.
The loving brother of (the late) Joan (Vincent) Petroni.
David also loved, admired and appreciated his wife's side of the family tremendously. His late Father and Mother In-Laws Benjamin and Dora Tenovsky. Sister and Brother In-Laws, Cynthia & Morton Lutch (predeceased) and Barbara (predeceased) & Jacob Aghassi.
He was the devoted father to his six daughters Susan (Barbara Bryant) Barruw, Janice (Mark) Ross, Brenda (Jay) Davidson, Amy (Paul) Sliva, Marcy (Scott) Sawin, and Natalie (Kevin) Ferrari.
Cherished grandfather of Andrea & Danielle Ross, Lauren & Ashley Sliva, Frankie & Thomas Sawin, Ben Ferrari, and Jeffrey Davidson.
David is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In his younger days, David worked along with his parents at Arnold Barruw, Inc (a construction company), spent a couple of years selling fried dough at local fairs and completed the remaining 20 years of his career in the lighting industry.
David, along with his wife Phyllis, raised Six (6) girls in their loving home on Walnut Street in Malden.
