Martha Mary Deppe, age 90, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 7:05 pm Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Tri-County Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Henry Ussher will officiate. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery following the service.

A visitation celebrating Mary's life will be held at 10:00 am until the time of service Saturday May 8, 2021, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Mary was born on August 4, 1930, in Pike County, Missouri the daughter of Ray Sr. and Minnie (Libby) Lovelace. She was a 1948 graduate of Vandalia High School and worked for many years at the Vandalia Leader.

She married Clarence Deppe Jr. on November 20, 1948 and they were life long residents of Vandalia. He preceded her in death on November 04, 1995.

She is survived by three daughters, Pat (Jim) Jones of Vandalia, Karen (Gene) Barron of Highlands Ranch, CO and Jean (Jon) Walkuw of Oak Harbor, WA; twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; many other loved family and friends; and her family of caregivers at Tri-County Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Margie Fogleman; two brothers, Ray Lovelace Jr. and Bill Lovelace; and one daughter, June Trautman.

Mary was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She loved gardening and doing things around her home, enjoyed going on walks, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful seamstress and a friend to many.
