Jean Marie Favour, 66, was taken unexpectedly from her family on March 28, 2023. Jean was born on December 2, 1956 in Norfolk, Virginia to Shirley and Eldon Heckman. She grew up in Hobart, Indiana and moved to Arizona when she visited her friends and saw they had a tan in the winter. She met the love of her life, Robert, shortly after and they married on July 7, 1980. She was a stay at home mom when her children were small but later decided to return to college. She graduated with her nursing degree and worked in Labor and Delivery until she retired this year. She loved helping others and was the most caring, selfless person many have met.
Jean was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Nana), daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to all who knew and loved her. Jean is survived by her loving husband, Robert; her children Sarah (Chris), Kaiya, Robert III and Anthony; her brothers Michael (Joy) and Bill (Sue); her sister in laws Linda (Dairriel) and Joy (Dave). She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Colton, Emma, Nicholas, Dylann, Peri, Casey, Jenna, Hayley, Kristina, Johnathan and Ellie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her little brother Rob and her sons Jacob and Robert Jr.
A visitation will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary's Serenity Chapel, 719 North 27th Ave. Phoenix, AZ. 85009, followed by a funeral service at noon.
Jean will be laid to rest in Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix, Az.
