Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Agatha Hendrick, were held at 3pm, July 27, in the First Baptist Church of Santo, with Rev. W.H. McQueary and Minister Cleburne Martin officiating. Interment was in Pisgah Cemetery. The Lawrence Smith Funeral HOme was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hendrick was born in Siloam Springs, Missouri, on October 20, 1880. Her family moved to Johnson County, Texas, when she was a year old. She and John Yateman Hendrick were married January 8, 1896 at Patillo, Texas. They had five sons and two daughters. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Her husband passed away December 22, 1937. At that time, she moved from her farm, into Santo. The last three and a half years she had been in the Resort Lodge Nursing Home.

Mrs. Hendrick is survived by these sons: Guy of Baird, Hoyt and Pete of Santo, Olen of Plains, and Luther of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. mary McCleskey of Bluff Dale, and Mrs. Gertie Adams of Santo.

Pall bearers were grandsons: James of Killeen, John of Irving, Kenneth of Santo, Ronnie of Plains, Douglas of Amarillo, and great-grandson, David of Killeen.

The following relatives attended the funeral: Mrs. and Mrs. Joe Craigen, Corsicana; Mrs. and Mrs. L.L. Gaines, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Gaines, Mr. J.A. Gaines, Stephensville; Mr. and Mrs. Walt Urban and children, Austin; Mrs. Joyce Howell, Houston; Miss Dorothy Hendrick of Baird; Mrs. Lester Gaines, Bluff Dale; Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Hendrick, Mineral Wells; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Sims, Lipan; Mr. and Mrs. W.T. McCleskey, Morgan Mills; Mrs. Raymond Hendrick and daughters, San Angelo; Mrs. Eunice Ellis, Dallas; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hendrick, Lipan; Mrs. and Mrs. B.F. Adams, Houston; Mr. and Mrs. John Hendrick and children, Irving; Dolphus McCleskey, Bluff Dale; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Flowers and children, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hendrick, Amarillo; Miss Renee Hendrick and Mr. And Mrs. Ronnie Hendrick of Plains.
