She was the daughter of David Oliver Miles, CSA veteran, and Mary Alford Miles, who was blind.
She was the wife of Rev. John "Drew" Mize. They married on 25 January 1895, in Jonesboro, Jackson Parish, Louisiana.
She was the mother of fourteen children.
She died in the hospital in Shreveport, after surgery for a ruptured appendix.
She is fondly spoken of by all who knew her.

LAST RITES FOR MRS. EULA MIZE HELD SUNDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Eula Mize, wife of Rev. Drew of Jonesboro, were held Sunday, May 14 at Springhill Baptist Church near Jonesboro. Mrs. Mize died Saturday in a Shreveport sanitarium after a short illness. Rev. J. B. Adams, of Sikes, conducted the funeral services with Rev. Joe Quarles assisting. Interment was made in the Springhill cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.
The deceased is survived by her husband, Rev. Mize, six sons and six daughters, 43 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The sons are: Dave Mize, Ezra Mize, Allen Mize, George Mize, Milton Mize and Hershell Mize; daughters: Mrs. Anna Womack, Mrs. Clemmie Savage, Mrs. Dena Frith, Mrs. Virgil Turner, Mrs. Ire Johns and Mrs. Lillie Bell Holsomback.
Pallbearers were: Sheriff Neil Thomas, J. C. Shows, Will Tolar, Gordon Carraway, Willis Potts and John Quarles.
