Leahman Dewey Barnes, 48, of St. Regis Drive, died Sunday in the Naval Hospital. A native of Santa Rosa County, Mr. Barnes had lived In Artiesa, Calif., before moving, to Pensacola three weeks ago. He was past commander of Post Norwalk, Ca of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a veteran of World War II Survivors Include his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Barnes of Pensacola; three sons, Ray Barnes, Lakewood, Calif., David and Jon Barnes, Pensacola; three daughters, Mrs. Patt Alsup and Miss Sue Barnes, Buena Park, Calif, and Miss Leahmanda Barnes, Pensacola; father, J. A. Barnes, Milton; four brothers, Grady, Odell, Lawrence and Roswell Barnes, all of Pensacola; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Tesch, Pensacola and Mrs. Mabelene Moulton, Chula Vista, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
