Mary Lois Turner, 67, of Algood, TN, passed away Feb. 4, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Feb. 9, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey, TN, with interment in Mayland Cemetery. The Rev. Freddie Looper and the Rev. Ferrel Looper will officiate.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Turner was born Sept. 2, 1933, in Putnam County, TN, the daughter of John Gilbert and Winnie Bryant Bohannon.
She was a retired factory worker with R.W. Beckett Corp. in Ohio, and a member of Faith Outreach Center.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Eugene Turner of Algood; daughters, Phyllis Sabisky of Matoaca, VA, and Lois Smith of Creston, OH; son, Melvin Lee Turner of Algood; sisters, Reba Phillips and Annette Bohannon, both of Monterey, Irene Burgess of Mayland and Judy Turner of Elyria, OH; brother, David Bohannon of Lorain, OH; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Eugene Turner; grandson, Daniel Jacobs; sister, Gladys Green; and brother, Henry Stanton Bohannon.
