Mark Edward Greenmeier
May 3, 1947 - February 18, 2023

San Diego, CA ---
Mark Edward Greenmeier, 75, passed away on February 18, 2023 after living with Parkinson's Disease for many years.

Mark was born on May 3, 1947 to Reinhold and Ruth (Miller) Greenmeier in Milwaukee, WI.

He graduated from Bay View High School in 1965, and served in the Air Force from 1966 to 1970.

He moved to San Diego in 1972 with his life partner, Shirley Lenard.

Mark worked for 27 years as a turbine engine mechanic. He retired at age 52 and bought a vacation home in La Pine, OR. It was his "happy place" where he and Shirley spent summers for 16 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, tying flies, bow hunting, photography, and playing with his rescue dog "Baxter".

Mark was predeceased by his parents Reinhold and Ruth Greenmeier, and brother-in-law Tom Skibosh.

He is survived by Shirley, his brothers Daryl (Diane) and Michael (Kenna) Greenmeier and sister Kathy (Tom) Skibosh, 12 nieces and nephews, and 25 grandnieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for family will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, 614 E. Howard Ave., Milwaukee, WI. Date and time to be announced later.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Mark's memory be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, an organization he felt strongly about.

Mark was a kind, decent human being with a great sense of humor, who treated everyone with respect. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
