Jim was born on December 19, 1931 in Clarks Mills. He was the son of the late Cyril and Helen (Gintner) Marlborough. Jim attended Valders High School and graduated with the class of 1950. On August 11, 1951 he married Anna Mae Oswald at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Maple Grove. She preceded him in death on December 25, 2022 after 71 years of marriage. Jim was the Plant Manager in Mirro Aluminum Cookware Manufacturing Division and various other areas for 43 years retiring in 1994. He attended activities and sporting events for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jim loved to have fun traveling and attending Green Bay Packer football games. Jim and Anna Mae enjoyed many years with family and friends at their place in Sister Bay, Door County. He was a member and past President of the Society of St. Vincent DePaul and active volunteer for over 30 years. Jim was also a member of The Serra Club, Knights of Columbus Council #710, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a former member of the Mirro Management Club. He enjoyed golfing, reading, exercising, and spending time with family.
He is survived by four daughters, Patti (Dave) Wilke, Kathy (Gary) Ebert, Ann (John) Musial, and Mary Beth (Tom) Lukas, all of Manitowoc; twelve grandchildren, Laura (Jason) Kakatsch, Brian (Jenny) Wilke, Kevin (Sara) Wilke, Brad (Melissa) Ebert, Kristin (Dave) DeTroye, Eric (Jessie) Ebert, Nathan (Melissa) Musial, Sarah Musial (Stevens Alexis), John II (Gina) Musial, Melina (Chris) Brunson, Natalie (Steve) Krezminski, and Jared (Sarah) Lukas; 26 great grandchildren, three sisters, Kate Lambries, Mary Vogel, Carole (Roger) Schamburek; two sisters-in-law, J'Ette Marlborough and Alice Meyer; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Helen Marlborough, wife, Anna Mae Marlborough, one son, Jimmy, two sisters and four brothers-in-law, Dolores "Odie" (James) Kautzer, Madge (Dave) Burich, Lawrence Lambries, and Chester Vogel; one brother, Donald Marlborough; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Anton and Laura Oswald; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Juanita) Oswald and Harold Oswald; and one sister-in-law, Virginia (Elmer) Remiker.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Doug LeCaptain. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand Avenue on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m.
